Business Development Manager (d/m/f) – ASIC and Defense Markets

Your new responsibilities

The core tasks in this role consist in leading Business Development activities for both our full custom ASIC and Defense businesses:

  • Develop an ambitious yet realistic GTM plan for both ASIC and defense markets in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company objectives and focusing efforts on the most relevant opportunities
  • Lead the execution of the GTM plan, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets and objectives
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in complex Sales of custom solutions, leveraging past experiences to drive success in acquiring large new ASIC customers across EMEA
  • Showcase expertise in the defense industry, identifying and pursuing business opportunities to expand ams OSRAM’s presence within the sector with our standard portfolio
  • Engage with defense industry stakeholders to position ams OSRAM as a trusted partner and solution provider for defense applications, ensuring alignment with industry standards and requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with Business Lines (BL), Corporate Marketing, and Regional Sales teams to align business strategies and maximize opportunities for growth
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the VP of Sales, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities within the ASIC and Defense markets

What we look for

  • Master`s degree in Business, Engineering or related field with correspondingly many years of applied and proven professional experience in business development
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, specifically within the ASIC business and/or the defense industry
  • Experience in developing and executing GTM plans, focusing efforts on the most relevant opportunities while aligning with company objectives
  • Strong understanding of EMEA markets and customer dynamics, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
